Notice: They are judged by “what they had done”. That’s because only in the current 2000-year period can a person be saved by the “blood of the Lamb”.

The first bowl causes ugly and painful sores on everyone with the “mark of the beast” 2. The second bowl turns the sea to blood so everything in the sea dies 3. The third bowl turns the rivers and springs to blood so there is nothing to drink but blood 4. The fourth bowl turns the sun scorching hot so people are seared by intense heat 5. the fifth bowl causes complete darkness in the “kingdom of the beast”.   “Men gnawed their tongues in agony and cursed the God of heaven because of their pains and sores.”  (Rev. 16: 2-11)    The 6th Bowl is a lot different because it doesn’t have anything to do with pain or agony.   The 6th Bowl is actually setting the stage for Armageddon, which is the 7th Bowl, when Jesus returns and defeats the armies of the beast and begins His 1000-year reign on earth.   The Bowl Plagues / Armageddon (God’s Final Wrath)    As shown in the chart below, the Bowl plagues take place after the 144,000 Israelites are martyred, so there is no one left on earth that requires God’s protection or sympathy.  Thus, the Bowl plagues are much more severe than the Trumpet plagues were.  There is a section on the Abomination page that explains the 1290 and 1335-days in Daniel 12.  The Bowls literally can’t start until after the 1290th day because the 1st Bowl mentions the ‘mark of the beast’, which is enacted at that time.  The ‘mark of the beast’ is enacted by the False Prophet, who rises to power 42-months after the first beast, who kills the two witnesses after they prophesy for 1260-days.  Everything that the False Prophet does is on “behalf of the first beast” (antichrist), who is injured during the invasion of Israel that kills the two witnesses, so the ‘mark of the beast’ is definitely after the invasion (6th Trumpet War).  It apparently takes 30-days to get everything in order, after the two witnesses are killed, so the ‘mark of the beast’ takes effect on the 1290th day.  The 144,000 must only avoid the mark for 45-days because they are rounded up and martyred on the 1335th day, which is actually a blessing because they become priests during Jesus’ 1000-year reign.  Seals 1-5 (past 2000-years) (Done) The 6th Bowl Revelation 16:12   (6th Bowl – just before Armageddon) “The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East.” That verse corresponds to Daniel 11:44, just before the armies of the beast are defeated.  Daniel 11:44  [also just before Armageddon] “But reports from the east and the north will alarm him, and he will set out in a great rage to destroy and annihilate many.”   Therefore, the antichrist is alarmed by reports concerning the kings from the East, due to the Euphrates River being dried up.  So who are the “kings from the east and the north” who alarm the Beast?  Well, they must be east of the Euphrates River.  One obvious guess would be countries of the ‘far east’ such as China, who is powerful and has many allies.  Another, less obvious guess would be the Kurds, who have no sovereign nation, even though they possess land in four different countries: Turkey, Iraq, Iran, and Syria.  (map on the left)   One reason I suspect the Kurds is that their current land in Syria and Turkey almost borders the Euphrates River for some distance.  I also suspect the 10-horned beast of the antichrist to contain all the countries I mentioned: Turkey, Iraq, Iran, and Syria, which are all natural enemies of the Kurds.  Their animosity towards the Kurds is one thing that bonds them.  And the fact that the armies of the antichrist “set out in a great rage to destroy and annihilate many” leads me to believe that it’s not an enemy with overwhelming power like China who could just nuke them.  On the contrary, I think it’s a more local force like the Kurds.  Babylon   One thing I think the antichrist will do during the 2300-days (6.3 years) is re-build Babylon.  I mean, the same ancient city that Nebuchadnezzar ruled, which straddles the Euphrates.  Some people have theories that it’s a new Babylon that is built, but I think it’s the old one because it has a lot of symbolism.  It was only rediscovered around 1900, and the locals think it has magical powers.  Saddam Hussein started the rebuilding but never finished.   Granted, it would need a lot more building to become the city that is burned in Revelation 17, but that’s possible because Revelation 18 indicates that a lot of money is spent on expensive cargos of gold, silver, precious stones, etc., and a lot of building can be done in 6+ years.  Merchants will get rich from bringing all the cargos and will be heart- broken to see it burn.   Revelation 18:11-12; 19 11 "The merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her because no one buys their cargoes any more- cargoes of gold, silver, precious stones and pearls; … 19 They will throw dust on their heads, and with weeping and mourning cry out: "'Woe! Woe, O great city, where all who had ships on the sea became rich through  her wealth!  In one hour she has been brought to ruin!   One reason I think Babylon will be the same ancient city as before is that the antichrist honors a “god of fortresses” (walls) with the same gold, silver, and precious stones that the merchants deliver to Babylon. (below)  Daniel 11:38 38 Instead of them, he will honor a god of fortresses; a god unknown to his fathers he will honor with gold and silver, with precious stones and costly gifts.   Plus, Marduk, who was the patron ‘god’ of Babylon, is depicted on its walls.  Thus, the antichrist would re-build Babylon as a symbolic endeavor because the 2nd Babylonian Empire, led by Nebuchadnezzar, defeated Jerusalem and burned the 1st Temple.  Why else would Saddam start such a project?    And, since ancient Babylon straddles the Euphrates, it would be simple for the merchants to bring their cargoes, and also see it burn from their ships.  Plus, it makes sense that the drying of the Euphrates River, in the 6th Bowl, would have something to do with the burning of Babylon, which is right on the Euphrates.  Personally, I think the burning is probably one of the main reports that alarms the antichrist who sets out to annihilate many.  After all, if the antichrist put so much money in his pet project, and it holds such symbolic importance, then it’s burning would certainly make him mad.    Yet, the burning is all part of God’s plan.  With the armies of the antichrist assembled for revenge to do their worse, Jesus will appear on a white horse and defeat them with massive hailstones.  Daniel 11:45  [Armageddon] “He will pitch his royal tents between the seas at the beautiful holy mountain. Yet he will come to his end, and no one will help him.”   As you can see, the antichrist is assembled near Jerusalem (beautiful holy mountain), so they may still be in the planning stage to annihilate many, but they are all assembled and ready when Jesus defeats them all. Revelation 16:17-21  [also Armageddon] *earthly perspective 17 The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and out of the temple came a loud voice from the throne, saying, "It is done!" 18 Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. No earthquake like it has ever occurred since man has been on earth, so tremendous was the quake. 19 The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath. 20 Every island fled away and the mountains could not be found. 21 From the sky huge hailstones of about a hundred pounds each fell upon men. And they cursed God on account of the plague of hail, because the plague was so terrible.  Revelation 19:11-21  [also Armageddon] *heavenly perspective I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war.   12 His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. 13 He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. 14 The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. "He will rule them with an iron scepter." He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. 16 On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. 17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair, "Come, gather together for the great supper of God, 18 so that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals, and mighty men, of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, small and great." 19 Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against the rider on the horse and his army. 20 But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.   21 The rest of them were killed with the sword that came out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh. Re-written & organized: 10-22-2023 Jesus’ 1000-year reign Revelation 20: 1-2 And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain.  2 He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.    While Satan is locked away, Jesus will reign ‘on earth’ for a thousand years. Apparently, some people survive and continue the generations because when the 1000-years are over, Satan is released one last time.  He gathers the nations from the four corners of the earth and gathers them for battle.  They march across the breadth of the earth and surround the camp of God’s people but they are devoured with fire. Revelation 20: 9-10  [end of 1000-years / Battle with gog and magog] “But fire came down from Heaven and devoured them.  And the devil, who had deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown.  They will be tormented day and night, forever and ever.”     Then, the dead throughout history will be judged before the “Great White Throne” Rev. 20: 12 & 15  [after Battle with gog and magog / Great White Throne] “Another book was opened, which is the book of life.  The dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books.  15 If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.”       After that, God will create ‘a new heaven’ and ‘a new earth’ because the first earth had passed away and their was no longer any sea.  A magnificent ‘new Jerusalem’ will come down from heaven to be the Holy City and God will finally dwell with humans.  Revelation 21: 1-4 “Now, the dwelling of God is with men and He will live with them.”   “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."   Praise God. Note: I was planning to add a lot more on the 1000-years, but I had to re-write the top section first, 10-22-2023, so I will probably add to this part next weekend.  However, I added to current events instead.  Maybe next weekend.  artist rendering of ancient Babylon section of Nebuchadnezzar's throne room "Saddam Hill" palace replica of Ishtar Gate Marduk on the walls click any to enlarge Artist rendering of Babylon looking east with Ishtar gate Artist rendering of Babylon looking west with tower of Babel and temple complex to Marduk (called Esagila) current Babylon click any to enlarge
